I will be taking part of the 2021 Carnavale Exposition in North Bay, Ontario. This show is done in collaboration of other local french artists and through the organization "Les Compagnons". Through a juried process, they have selected my serie of 3 paintings "Exploration of Self" to take part in the exhibition. The platform for the exhibition will be taking place online due to the pandemic. I will have more information for you all in February.
As you might have noticed, I have not been as creative lately. Some of you may wonder, what's up? Well I am back at school, and a Master's program at that. I am devoting the majority of my time there, and try to create in my spare time. With the pandemic and some free time on my hands, I have started painting again. I am reaquainting myself with my lost friend.

About Joëlle
My story is not yet complete because the most exciting moments have yet to happen. I can however tell you what has made me become the person I am today and what has influenced the path I have taken. I grew up in very remote and isolated parts surrounding the city of Sudbury in Ontario. I loved growing up in small town environments because I think it has made me appreciate what I have and work harder for what I want. Eventually what I wanted most was to go to school to pursue my passion in Visual Arts. It led me to attend Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario. There I fell in love with my surroundings and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2017. My adventures only seemed to continue after graduation. I stayed in Vancouver for 4 months where I kept growing as a person and artist. Returning home I feel enlightened and I look forward to continue this creative growth. I will be setting new goals, and maybe I will find those exciting moments that can contribute to the story of my life.
My artistic interests lie in painting, drawing and sculpting. I look forward to keep learning and expanding that skill set.
